Not totally recovered from virus

Since reinstalling Windows on our computer on Wednesday, I've learned that some of our software and internet options are not working as they once were. This said, I have tried to upload pictures numerous times to the blog and they're not posting.

If Brent has time tonight, I'm going to ask him to help me in figuring this out. If we can't, I apologize and I'll get the pictures posted as soon as I can. Thanks for your patience.

Doggone Gifted

Tonight, I'm going over to our neighbor's house. She has a sweet Dobermen named May, who Jackson (my son) absolutely adores. Jackson calls to her from time to time, saying "Maaaaay" repeatedly. And, as his words are getting more and more defined, he's now saying "May, home" while looking at their house.

This fall, May learned how to climb the fence that separates Merit's back yard and ours. She would come over, dig in our yard, gleefully running around whilst Merit called us, asking to come retrieve her dog. Needless to say, a friendship budded over sweet Miss May, as I call her. Merit helps keep an eye on our house while we're away, so I wanted to give her a small something to show my graditute.

May is Merit's baby and she makes her homemade doggie treats. I found dog-shaped cookie cutters at Homegoods this week and decided to make Merit a little doggie treat bag, if you will.

This is the finished product, complete with doggie recipes and cookie cutters. Merit absolutely loved it and I'm sure May will as well.

Here I am!

Ugh...I had the worst computer nightmare this past week. I downloaded a Trojan virus from Facebook, spent hours with a computer tech trying to recover what was lost, and then spent hours reinstalling Windows. Yup. That means I had to wipe the computer's memory clean and am starting from scratch.

I am currently trying to reload all of our software onto the computer and all of our files from our external harddrive. (Don't have one? You should look into getting one...instead of us losing all of our files and pictures, we only lost the months of Oct & Nov.)

So, for all of you in my blogging world, it means a little more time to update everything. I promise that I will work my best magic to try and get pictures up of the submissions I've received. Also, I will post a new Wanna Play? Challenge tomorrow as scheduled. I will rally and try to get all of this straightened out post-haste.

Hello, everyone!

Just wanted to let you know that I've been experiencing some serious computer problems and have been totally unable to access the internet since Thursday.  That being said, any Wanna Play? submissions I've received will all be counted.  Keep those holiday cards coming and I will post them as soon as the problems have been resolved.

Wanna Play? Challenge #8

Wanna get into the holiday spirit? Create any holiday card (Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Festivus for those of us who are Seinfeld fans...) and send it onto me via email. Submissions are due by Friday, Dec. 5th, so you don't have much time this week. Sorry.

I'm Back!

Hello, there...

After having a delightful Thanksgiving in PA with my husband's family, we have returned to MI. Here I am again, trying to make my way through all of the holiday craziness, just as all of you are.

Just to let you know, YES! I am going to be continuing the Wanna Play? Challenges. We got home late on Sunday and I spent the day unpacking, recovering from the trip, and sharing the computer with my sweetie whose grad school work takes precedence over my blog. (Sorry.)
